As part of the series of activities in celebration of the Intellectual Property Month, the university’s Intellectual Property Rights Office held another Intellectual Property Management Orientation on April 30, 2019 at the Audio-Visual Room. This orientation is attended by 177 students from the College of Science and Environment who are into the final stages of their researches. The activity featured lecturer is the IPRO’s Officer-in-Charge, Assistant Professor Delyn M. Bucay. She lectured on the rights, procedures, and the protections that the intellectual property is providing in the context of scientific advancement. The event is widely successful as it capacitated students coming from the environmental science, marine biology and information technology with the know-hows of intellectual property and its application in their respective industries.
